A Lovely Visit....

Haley's accordion playing buddy, John Whelan, visited us on Sunday night between gigs and a trip to Ireland. We cooked a nice dinner of salmon, mashed potatoes, and sauteed spinach with strawberry shortcake for dessert....I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Yum!  Then we all sat outside and Ritch, Newt, and I listened to our own personal concert/session. Eventually a thunderstorm came up and we headed inside before the lightning got us in our metal chairs....it was getting dark anyway.

Monday morning John and Haley went to work coming up with a set list for their upcoming gig in Quebec, Canada over Labor Day Weekend. They tried tunes together for a couple hours and came up with some for Haley to learn, some for John to learn, and a bunch they both already knew together. Haley loves that part of gigging....working together to come up with what they are going to do on stage.
